Privacy Policy

At Chattingle, we respect user privacy and are committed to providing a safe and responsible anonymous chatting environment. Our platform allows users to communicate without creating accounts or sharing personal identities. Because of this anonymous nature, we intentionally limit the amount of information we collect to only what is necessary to operate the service, maintain platform safety, and enforce community guidelines. We do not require users to register, provide real names, email addresses, or personal profiles in order to use the platform.

The primary information we collect relates to moderation and safety reporting. When a user submits a report, the system may record details such as the reporting user identifier, the reported user identifier, the reason for the report, the room or session identifier, relevant chat logs associated with the incident, optional screenshots if provided, the report status, and a timestamp. In addition, the public network IP address of the reported user may be temporarily stored. This IP address is collected solely for moderation, abuse prevention, and compliance purposes and is limited to publicly available network information, such as IPv6 addresses. We do not attempt to identify users beyond this technical necessity, nor do we link IP addresses to real-world identities

Chat logs and moderation records are accessed only when required to investigate violations of platform rules, such as harassment, abusive behavior, illegal activity, impersonation, or other misuse. These records exist to protect users and ensure a safer community. Moderation data is retained only for as long as necessary to resolve reports, enforce policies, or comply with legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized. We do not use chat content for advertising, profiling, or commercial purposes.

Chattingle does not sell, rent, or trade user data to third parties. Information collected through moderation processes is not shared externally except when legally required by law enforcement or regulatory authorities. Access to moderation data is restricted to authorized personnel responsible for trust and safety operations, and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are in place to protect stored information from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.

Users are encouraged to protect their own privacy while using the platform. Because interactions are anonymous, users should never share personal information such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, passwords, financial details, or social media accounts. While we work to maintain a secure and moderated environment, user discretion and caution remain essential for personal safety.

By using Chattingle, you acknowledge and agree to the collection and use of limited information as described in this privacy policy. We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the platform, legal requirements, or safety practices. Continued use of the service after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy. Our goal is to balance anonymity with responsibility, ensuring that users can communicate freely while maintaining a respectful and secure online space.
